This feeling of adventure has guests returning to MK's Adventureland for nearly 50 years.  It's popularity would grow to eventually influence the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise.\n\nThe ride lasts around 8 min 30 sec.  This map displays the full track layout, throughout all of the ride's show scenes.  Etches of the various characters have been added to each scene, in the same place as their real world counterparts in the attraction.  Some of the characters displayed in this art piece are from the opening day version of this ride.  For example, the original 'red head' is featured at the auction scene.  Small representations of the ride vehicles are also included along the ride track.  There is a key on the map which will give the names of the corresponding show rooms across the schematic.  If you look closely, the map is bordered with the lyrics of the famous song, \"It's a Pirate's Life for Me,\"\n\nThe map is 14in tall and 17in wide.
